METHOD STATEMENT FOR REMEDIAL TREATMENT TO DAMAGED PAINTWORK
PREPARATION
- Clean down all surfaces to remove site debris, mud, dust, etc.
- Degrease where necessary.
- Scrape back any damaged paint back to a firm edge.
- Mechanically wire brush any bare areas to remove rust. Care should be taken to avoid
excessive burnishing of the steel surface.
- Feather back adjacent paint to provide a smooth surface to accept the touch up paint.
TOUCH UP
- Reapply the works applied coat at the specified thickness.
