LAKESHORE DEVELOPMENT,
Bedfont Lakes

REQUIREMENT
 Internal helical type staircases and 30 circulation bridges to 3 buildings along with associated balustrades. Lift structures and cladding serving ground to third floors were also provided internally. Externally, sun decks and access staircases were provided to the Lakeside elevation.

30 circulation bridges were supplied on this project. In the picture the helical stair has been framed on three sides at each floor level. The steel decks, which were concrete filled, are supported on rolled hollow section carriages which incorporate tapering ends and simple pinned connections to the structure of the building. The helical consisted of twin box section strings supporting continuously folded treads and risers with purpose made, extruded aluminium nosings that acted as framing for carpet finishes.
