The unique shape of this staircase installed in the entrance of a prestigious office building provided a most impressive feature to the atrium. The footprint of the stair which is indicated by the raised plinth upon which it stands is similar in shape to the bow of a boat. To carry this through the stair a helical design was required. By positioning balusters perpendicular to the stair flight the nautical theme is continued.

The bridge structure behind was designed to compliment the construction of the staircase with its twin tubular carriage and tapering fins.
