REQUIREMENT
Main entrance stairs providing access to 1st & 2nd floors from ground floor foyer area. A winter garden dog-leg stair to the same design. Glazed balustrades to voids, general balustrades, car park metalwork, core stairs and ancillary elements both in stainless steel and mild steel.

Seen here, 4 fully welded straight flight 'monocoque' stairs, each span a single floor level using an integral cantilevered support arm positioned on slab at each floor level. The treads and risers were formed using mild steel plate, bolted to the upper face of the 'monocoque' structure of the stair. Stone capping to treads and landings were provided by others. Balustrade consisted of mild steel balusters and stainless steel handrail with toughened glass infil panels. Mild steel components received initial off-site paint treatment with the final coat being applied on site to ensure the best finish was acheived.
